HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY

I can hardly believe that I haven't blogged for this long.  It is July 4, 2013 already.  Wherever does the time fly?  Happy Independence Day.

Anyway, guess I have been incredibly occupied.  I have been helping in leading at our Precept Upon Precept Class.  That takes an incredible amount of time.

I have been invited to a group who call themselves "Creative Ladies".  As you can guess my their name they are creative and talented.  We meet once a month and share and make cards mostly.  We are making cards for OPERATION WRITE HOME.  It is exciting and an honor to make cards for those who protect our freedom.  Thank you to all of you.  May God Bless You and Yours.

Well, that is all for now.

Up till now, I haven't posted any of my layouts.  Here is one that talks about an item on my "bucket list".  I tried to add some humor to a "not so humorous" event.  What do you think?  Did I succeed?

I really like this card.  I'm not sure who is going to receive it--but it is true that each day is a gift.  Enjoy your day!

What of your soul?

This past week a gal that I came in contact with briefly in my life passed away. Her son and my son went to the same high school. They are the same age. She was younger than me. It hit me hard. It caused me to do a whole lot of thinking, praying, and soul searching. She breathed her last and is no more on this earth as we know it. The part of her that will last forever is in heaven.  I know this because she knew Jesus Christ and followed Him; just like I do.

I know of people who are so concerned with other things but what of the soul? If the soul is not right with God then the rest matters not. Because, you see the body will die—but the soul will be forever. It is what needs to be fed and nourished first and foremost. The body and mind will follow once the soul is taken care of and there will be inner peace from Jesus.

So the question is: what of your soul? What condition is it in? Who or what does your heart and soul belong to? I urge you to ponder this question; and if you don't know about your soul, then I urge you to get a Bible and read the book of John.  Especially John 3:16 which really sums up the entire issue. “For God so loved that world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”

I haven't blogged for a while.  I just don't know where the time goes.  I have had a myriad of commitments and things to keep me busy.  I did leave one message around the time change.

I don't know about all of you, but it always throws me for a loop.  We are only 10 miles from the Arizona border and as you know they don't change their time.  It just stays on one time all year round.  I wish everyone would just pick one time and stick with it. I don't care which one it is.  Anyway, that is my two bits worth.

Trust everyone had a great Easter.  At our church the pastor says "He is Risen!" and we all reply back "He is Risen, Indeed!"   Yes, Jesus is alive and as my new favorite song says:  "He's living on the inside and roaring like a lion, My God is alive!!"

Well, that is all for now.  Happy Spring to you all.

Unbelievable--it is 2012.  So Happy New Year...actually I like have a God Blessed New Year better.

Well, here we are at another Mojo Challenge.

This is my entry for the Mojo #222.

I don't see how I can compete with the entries, but I will try.  This is a cute little b-day card.  It says you're special on the outside and Happy B-day on the inside.

Here are my 2 entries for Mojo Monday 220.  I couldn't decide which one to enter so entered both.

The glitter on the "Surprise" card is a little difficult to see.  The background is embossed with a flower background.  The flower and the sentiment are mounted on foam to make it more 3-d.

The 2nd card is more masculine.  The sentiment is on vellum with a block paper background underneath.  The die cut is from the Cricut cartridge Lyrical Letters.
